So like *****, holding musical identity as a social buffer is pretty pointless. I mean no one really cares about how diverse your taste is because the overwhelming majority still think Lady Gaga is good so I mean where does that leave you? As the odd man out because you think it’s trash? It seems more counterproductive like, if you want to impress people why distance yourself from them then scoff them for not appreciating “abstract electronica” music? They will just think you are this weird asshole and they will probably just poke fun at you behind your back.
So your social buffer is completely counterproductive. I mean your whole identity is pretty pointless I don’t get why you keep trying to push it when clearly no one cares. You really should rethink this whole thing you do, because niche interests are not very good to push yourself into society. They are niche for a reason, but clearly you know that since you are so much better than every one since you appreciate odd music no one knows about.
In essence your whole intelligence and social elitism is moot because no one even knows what you are talking about. You are just this Lady Gaga hating asshole to everyone, not this sage like music elitist who is super interesting because you listen to unappealing music no one knows about. Maybe these artists are unknown for a reason, ever think about that?
Next time you are raging on the internet about no one replying to your crappy music posts yet the Lady Gaga topic is on fire, think about that.
